Handmade tables, desks, shelving, and custom woodwork from local hardwoods. Designed and built by hand in Jamestown, New York, using traditional joinery.
Each piece is made to order. These are some recent commissions and personal projects. All built from locally sourced hardwoods with hand-cut joinery.
Eight-foot white oak table with breadboard ends and wedged through-tenons. Finished with hand-rubbed tung oil. Seats eight comfortably, ten if you're friendly.
Jamestown Furniture Co. is a one-person shop in Fluvanna, New York, owned and operated by Jesse Pardue. What started with a table saw and a curiosity about joinery has grown into a full woodworking studio focused on building furniture that lasts.
Every piece is designed and built here, from rough lumber to finished product. I source hardwoods locally when possible -- cherry, walnut, white oak, and maple from the hills around Chautauqua County.
I believe furniture should be built to survive the people who buy it. That means traditional joinery over pocket screws, solid wood over veneer, and finishes that age well instead of peeling. No particle board, no shortcuts.
When I'm not in the shop, I'm writing about physics, building video games, or trying to keep up with a blind cat who runs this house better than I do.
Everything is custom. Pricing depends on size, wood species, and complexity. Reach out with your idea and I'll put together a quote.

Starting at $1,200Bookcases, floating shelves, media consoles, pantry shelving. Wall-mounted or freestanding. Designed to fit awkward spaces and hold real weight.
Starting at $600If it's made of wood and you can describe it, I can probably build it. Mantels, headboards, built-ins, live edge pieces, cutting boards, and things that don't have a name yet.
By consultationFrom first conversation to delivery, here's how a piece comes together.
We talk about what you need, how you'll use it, and what the space looks like. I'll ask about wood preferences, dimensions, and finish.
I draw up the piece and send you a rendering with dimensions. We'll go back and forth until it's exactly right. Then I quote materials and labor.
I source the lumber, mill it, and build the piece in my shop. I'll send progress photos along the way. Most pieces take 4 to 8 weeks.
Local delivery included within Chautauqua County. Shipping available for smaller pieces. I'll set it up and make sure it's right.
Have a project in mind, or just want to talk about wood? Drop me a line. I'm happy to discuss ideas, give rough estimates, or just nerd out about joinery.
